The Urban Terrarium Project at SFSU mapped the seed bank population of the university. The participants were asked to randomly collect soil from the university grounds and then map and catalog their findings. Every week participants were given an internet update on the progress of their terrarium. At the end of the project terrariums were delivered to their owner.
