The Mass Production Cycle
The Mass Production Cycles is an performance/installation dealing with the phenomenon of mass production and the human element there in. The performance took place in three parts, each performance (shift) lasting the duration of the gallery hours. A walking robot crushed fast food such as McDonald’s™, Jack in the Box™, Kripsy creme™ and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. After the performance the ‘paintings’ created by during the performance were bagged in plastic and hung in the gallery, left to mold and transform over time. The performance ultimately challenges our relationship to machines and the dwindling value of human labor.
